Sunrise Golf Club & Driving Range, is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Sunrise Golf Club & Driving Range first opened for play in 1995. The course was designed by Pat Gavigan. Gavin retained all the major trees that were on the land in his design. He worked with the land and foilage, not against it. All the holes in the back side of the property show that (4,5,6,7).
The course plays to a 9-hole par of 36 and maximum 9-hole distance of 3,279 yards. The forward tees measure 2,680 yards.
The course has a large driving range on which to warm up before play. There are some tight holes, constricted by bordering trees. The course can be a bit wet after rain as drainage is a weak point.
The course closed in October 2013. Carmel-based Old Town Development LLC is planning to transform the former Sunrise Golf Club into a $350,000 to $450,000 per unit residential community targeting empty nesters.
